Liked this from a Vale fan on another forum.

The levels of bitterness and jealousy from Oxford fans on here is embarassing. Swindon beat us 5-0 yesterday, and looked a class above. No team has played us off the park and dominated us like they did all season. Their passing, especially long-range was excellent, and their build-up play was brilliant. Fully deserve to go up as Champions, just like Oxford fully deserve to be stuck in League Two again next season. Swindon are bigger and better than Oxford in every single aspect of the game. Whether it be stadium, fanbase, manager, attendances, away averages, players, management, backroom staff - you name it. Congratulations Swindon. The atmosphere yesterday was unusual though, given the fact you were ninety minutes away from the title. You hardly sang, but when you did sing, **** me, it was absolutely outstanding. Best atmosphere I've heard since Leeds away in 2007. Hope to see you in League One soon anyway......

The guy who wrote that has had a thing for us all season anyway, it's a bit weird.

Apart from at the start of the season when he spent weeks and weeks telling us how great Micky Adams was and how he'd have Port Vale as the fittest team in the league and if we were indeed fitter (and we were) then we'd have spent too much time on fitness and not enough on football....

Soon converted though.

Nought wrong with having a soft spot for another club. I'm liking Crewe, mainly I suppose because of their loyalty to one certain Dario Gradi

There was definitely a sense of expectancy/nerves in the first half which is rarely a good mix (sort of like the modern Wembley atmosphere).

Goals went in and the atmosphere relaxed and we got louder.

Lack of singing for the first half was down to nerves I'd say. We have a tendency in recent years of fucking things up so people not wanting to celebrate too early perhaps? Town End also tend to get the crowd going and they sing alot more when attacking that stand than Stratton Bank.

Just went on that forum.

It's brilliant reading all the reaction to Paolo's appointment, in the context of having now won the league.

One example of many, is this from one of our friends down the road.

"Well in fairness the board running running Swindon have achieved what they clearly must have set out to do.

The appointment of Di Canio is clearly nothing at all to with football and an attempt to con the fans into buying season tickets and the clowns down the A420 have fallen for it hook, line and sinker

What on earth does he know about Managing/League 2/Motivating People (delete as appropriate)

For me its a crazy decision and I'll give him until Xmas before he clears off "

Yes indeed most of the scum expected Di Canio to be out by Christmas and Swindon struggling in Div2. Now at the end of the season they are divided over "The Lord" as they call him who has bottled it like they always do under pressure whilst they look on as Swindon as Champions.

Last week on passing through Didcot the pub was full of Town fans in fine voice with a few Reading and Southampton all having something to sing about. The Pox looked on in envy....so often the same scenes of years gone by. Forever In Our Shadow as the saying goes in Oxfordshire.

Wilder In - Please.

Mr DV Canio has posted a great summary of the forum in question.

I hope he doesn't mind me posting it below -

Just my view but with the turmoil that Swindon are in I am just not sure a Di Canio is what you needed from a football perspective. Maybe something a little less ambitious
 THATS WHY WE'RE CHAMPIONS

Well, you won at the CG - no one else did though.
