Blackpool have had the better chances...but not took them.

At least the talk of PdC going there will disappear...at least until Big Sam loses his first game back in the Premiership...

I thought his interview was very good, he gave Blackpool a lot of credit which they fully deserved.

Allardyce is a decent manager, who's to say he'll stay at the Boleyn. I'm sure the stick he's got from the fans wont have gone unnoticed.

N'ah he strikes me as a stubborn chap.

Unless Aston Villa want a bit Big Sam action.

Thought it was a cracking game and Blackpool played some very tidy football. West Brom and Villa should be looking at Holloway imo.

My first thought was 'Great, no WHU after DiCanio'

but then, I thought 'What if they're crap in the PL, down in the relegation zone come Xmas and sack Big Sam'

But, is DiCanio really a sort to get someone out of a relegation scrap?

Ah, fuck it, I'm off to the track

One good thing about them being in the Prem, is that if Sam does go, they'd perhaps consider PdC a greater risk than if they were in the Championship. I also wonder how much of a success he'll be at any club without free licence to completely rebuild the team to his every whim.

Can you imagine him going to a club like West Ham and trying to sign a whole new squad and release the current one? Forgetting WHU, imagine him at a decent Championship club where they've paid millions for players that have years left on contracts and he doesn't like the work ethic of any of them. He'd also ruffle a few feathers were he to make a couple of signings on a 3/4 year contracts for £Xm, then decide they're not good enough.

Even Di Canio, I imagine, realises he's got it pretty good here.

(On a related note, a Bristol Rovers player was at my sister's BBQ today - strange, I know - and he was raving talking positively about our club, how well it's being run and the fact that Paolo "is coaching at a level normally reserved for teams in the Champions League." Apparently quite a few players are talking about it positively.)

Is he anyone we should be thinking of signing? Good that it's being talked of in a positive light, bodes well for future signings

I doubt we'd be signing him and I will not entertain guesses as he was a nice bloke and wouldn't expect me to spout off. Smiley
