Atmosphere shite at Franchise. Fucking plastic club.
The stadium is too big for them....and they want to go to 30k.
Anyway they're 2-0 down at home...

Was going to post something similar. Huddersfield looked pretty good and Franchise didn't. I know we shouldn't read anything into play off games, but nothing to fear from the Dons on that showing.

Not sure what you mean. Our lowest ever home playoff crowd is 12,416 (vs Blackburn in 1990), and our average home playoff crowd is only just under 14,000.
if you're basiing membership of the Championship on crowd size then we wouldn't deserve to be there. 5,600 is probably capacity for Stevenage.

I wasn't basing my comment just on crowd size - more a lack of enthusiasm The capacity is 7100, but they can only get 5,800 for the biggest game in their history.

11,893 at Franchise, that's piss poor considering there was about 4,000 Huddersfield fans.

It is, 7.5k home fans is utterly pathetic for a play off.

In some ways it is because their average home attendance this season was 7,778 with the average away attendance there 880. To barely get that in a play off game with a lot at stake is poor, I guess it does show that Milton Keynes does not deserve a football club and certainly not a ground with a capacity of 22,000.

I reckon our crowds could be top 5 next season.
Coventry, Pompey and Huddersfield or Sheff Utd will only average more.

A lot depends on who is having a good season, Doncaster can easily get 9k+ average if they are on a good run, Preston average about 11k as well but I think we can easily be top 7 on attendances even if we have an average season but if we get off to a flyer we can be top 3 or 4.

Only if you're comparing our League 2 crowds with crowds of clubs 2 divisions higher though, surely? Our average attendance this year was higher than that of 17 of the 24 teams in the division above. We've had plenty of other discussions about this - but suffice to say I think promotion to the Championship (a level we've not played at for 13 years now) would see a step change in our levels of support.

I'm not so sure it would. I'm just looking at the averages this year http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/attend.html and I can't see many teams we'd have a better average than. I'd like to be wrong but I'm not sure where these fans are going to consistently come from.
