I guess it'd smack of arrogance if they were to come out now and say to stay off the pitch so we can parade the trophy.

Can't see people staying off the pitch, I'm sure it's just a guideline the club are following from The FA to warn people....look at Reading, Shitty & other clubs they love a good pitch invasion and no actions are ever taken against clubs for celebrating! IMO it adds to the occasion!

To be fair though, knowing the football league and the f.a we'll get a fine and a points deduction for just breathing near the pitch

Fans will go on the pitch...

Some will dance and sing
Some will try and touch the players while shouting 'good lad' in their ears
Some will goad the Port Vale fans who have stayed to watch
Some will take a chunk of grass
Some will take pictures of themselves
Some will get their mate to take a picture of them pretending to 'do a line' like Robbie Fowler
Some will try and climb the goalpost
Some will stand there talking to their mate who was sat in the other stand
Some younger fans will skid across the grass
Some will try and get on but fear the stewards and just turn around

After 10 minutes they'll leave the pitch and the club will do their thing.

Can't imagine why they would want to expand the stadium if we don't sell out as it currently is.

And some will try and get the players up on their shoulders, just like the Macari days. Cheesy

David Phillips will officiate the Port Vale game. He was referee when we beat Wimbledon 2-0 at the start of the year.

Isn't afraid to dish out the occasional red card, he sent three off at Oxford in the JPT this season.

Edited for you...

To be honest, they anticipate a pitch invasion which is why we have been told to stand in the goals as sacrificial lambs to protect them (clearly expecting few scottish relatives of players to come down...)

I said 'try' that doesn't mean that they will succeed.

No edits needed.
