Haha i'm sitting mid-section of the TE but i don't think the 'big nazi men' will take kindly to a female trying to start a chant!! Having said that there was a kid that seemed to be helping lead the chanting at the Northampton game - sounded like he/she was in the DRS shouting across He was in The Town End, very amusing and helped the most boring 10-15 minutes of the game fly by. Fair play to the lad he must have literally been about 10 years old

What are you implying? Nothing racist! Honest (i'm presuming you have eastern european heritage?) - Although all that soviet lark' has left their football supporters having a 'for the motherland' attitude... Or have I got my eastern european geography/history wrong?

I'm surprised he didn't know to be honest. Every other post I make is to do with Eastern Europe.

Not really. I know what you're getting at. Don't you worry CF. As a West Wiltshireman born to North Wiltshire immigrants, I know all about cultural pride.

Having spent pretty much all season, midway in the Town End, trying to get new songs going....it just doesnt happen. People prefer the mundane. Like The Wesley Foderingham chant with the 'la la's...takes off a little bit but is soon drowned out by the obvious and boring 'FODEEERRRRRINGHHHHOOOOOOOOMMMMMM FODERINGHOOOOOOOOOOOOOM'. I hope we can ring the changes, some of our chants are the equivalent of a old NOW album

Which just sounds like a bunch of mentally retarded people being asked to shout out the name of their favorite players...

A couple of extra verses would be good. Needs to build before the scarf wavey bit, or it could be over in a flash.
I disagree. I think it works quite well as a repeated song, so you sing the two verses, do the scarf wavey thing, then start again. As I mentioned before, it's not too dissimilar in structure to the 'Oxford fan on a piece of string' chant and that went down a treat. (Then got old, admittedly).
