Roy always comes across as a decent chap - why the hell he wants the England job fuck knows!
I used to love international football and the whole getting behind England (Italia 90 was my halcyon days) - but just can't be arsed with England anymore. Just feel as if some (if not most) of the players think that they're God's gift and all they need do is turn up and the fans will support them.
Would love to see Roy pick 'unfashionable' players, maybe even Championship players - ones who actually give a flying F about wearing the Three Lions rather than the self-centred media-courting hasbeens that make up a significant proportion of the current team...
Need to drop Terry, Rooney, Lampard and Gerrard to start.

It might appear funny at first to some, but using the whole front page to take the piss out of someone's speech impediment is beyond disgraceful. Can't believe so many people buy it, they're as much to blame for encouraging this style of journalism as Murdoch is for printing it. |
