To all you London Reds, or anyone else generally in the know....
Seeing as it would appear there will be 17500 town fans at the green man on sunday, and apparently they only have two bar staff on, and the IPA is off....can anyone suggest any alternatives, either a short walk, or a tube stop or two away from the ground?
Cheers.

I don't tend to drink in the pubs around the ground, due to the congestion. It all depends on what you are after, if you want to sing a few songs etc. then get to one of the Wembley pubs. When I have done the train journey to Wembley I usuall stop off in a pub over the road from Paddington, there is a collection of eateries in the same street. It's easy enough to just hop off at one of the tube stops and go find a pub; I ended up in a pub on the Edgware Road one time The Grand Junction pub at Harlesden is only a couple of stops down, beer garden overlooking the Grand Union Canal, I went there en route to an England game - it was 14 years ago though

Wondered the same thing. Every man and his dog last night seem to part friends with "see you at the Green Man" Still with kids and non-regulars in tow it'll probably be a couple of Wembley pints for me anyway

A few of us are going to the Wetherspoons in the O2 centre by Finchley Road tube (one stop down from Wembley on the Metropolitan line)

There's also a Yates and Wetherspoons side by side at Leicester Square - a fry up and a pint

Tesco express at the bottom of the hill up to the green man serves ice cold cans and saves your legs!

The Globe is handy and I've been there a few times (the tourists like to take photos of you ). I won't be popping in there this time though.

I have a question about pubs around Marlybone. Are they likely to be open before 12? Bearing in mind its a Sunday and most open at 12?
Any decent pubs in that area that aren't Weatherspoons?

The Wetherspoons opposite was closed for the Millwal game as I suppose they didn't want different fans in two pubs opposite each other. Not sure that will be the case this time though. Also the Globe isn't very big and can get rammed. If the weather is nice then it's best to stand outside with some cans from the Tescos (?) round the corner, as it will be cheaper that buying pints at the bar!

We were in there last time and it was great. What was the Green Man like last time...staffed properly? I have images of that pub in Leicester when it took 45 mins to gets served.
