Thank God we have already played them twice so he can't come back to haunt us this season.

I thought there was a rule about only playing for 2 (3?) clubs in a season.
As he didn't play for QPR that would be his 4th club - how can this happen?

To do with it being an emergency loan or something like that.

Clarke seems to have found the 'perfect' match!

Speaking of loans and how many clubs in a season...Christian Montano gone to Pox, hasn't he been at us, Notts (x2) and Daggers already this season, making it effectively his 5th club?...I thought there was a limit on how many clubs you can play for in 1 season  Hmmm

mentioned in another thread it's regarded as a youth loan so it's different.

I sat watching Fjortoft's goals tonight and watching the smile on his face when he scored and how he just generally played football, it made me prouder than ever he came to swindon.
It also made me respect Paolo more that he chucked Clarke out on his arse, he can score 20 goals for Crawley for all i care. His attitude stinks beyond evans last belt buckle and I'm so glad we've got a player instead like Benson & now Holmes in who clearly is doing something they love doing... playing football for the right reasons.

The article on crawlers website about it is so so cringey, Evans head is so far up Clarkes ass and called it yet another remarkable piece of business. Question is will Evans try and out do Di canio by actually assaulting Clarke!

I think he could do well at Crawley. Thankfully the damage has been done already in terms of their title aspirations, provided we don't freeze in the spotlight that is.

However despite Evans "outstanding business" there is a good reason he has gone from QPR->Swindon->Charlton Reserves->on loan at Crawley. Largely if he doesn't change his attitude he will end up like Leon fucking Knight.

Getting rid of Clarke was the defining moment of our season. I was devastated at the time, wondered what we had done appointing PDC. But our season turned that night, coincidence?, maybe. But I like to think our players realised that night that you don't cheat your team mates by slacking off and moaning, and nobody but nobody fucks with Paolo.

No doubt about it. I was actually thinking at that point that if we lost another couple of games that PDC would walk away. Then Connell came up with those two goals from the bench against Rotherham and the rest as they say is history.

You forgot the only club he did well for. Chesterfield

No I didn't, wasn't counting loans other than Crawley. But its a good point, thankfully for us he did well there or we'd be lumbered with him.

Fact is this is his 13th club (including loans) for a reason

Frankly, he and the adiposally challenged Evans deserve each other.  His departure has been greeted with woe & dismay on the Charlton forums - not!

Perfection is not attainable

Don't fully understand this one, 3 permanent clubs and 2 loans in 1 season, he played for 2 clubs permanently and 2 on loan, surely this is not allowed by the Football League under number of clubs ruling as he is not classed as a youth loan.

Wierd indeed, unless the rules have changed this season?

Does that mean you believe we might scrape into the play-offs now that we've avoided relegation then? Wink
