If your fully comp ring your mate with the recovery truck if he works for recovery company they will have a compound for insurance jobs and will be able to charge the earth for keeping it in there and may have a courtesy car.
The insurance company will want to move it out of the compound quickly to avoid the parking fee and you will get you hire car quicker.Just a thought.

Trying to sort a hire car now. Apparently, if I keep the receipts for hire cars, taxis, days off work etc... they'll pay it back so long as I'm not at fault. But, if they can prove how fast I was going, I am a bit fooked :?

That's why I didn't want the police involved. The skid marks are a bit long to say the least.
My mechanic mate is making a few calls (he's a bit like Asher - he knows 'people') A replacement car is apparently on its way. A mondeo estate - oh well :?
