On a technicality yes as they play in Cleethorpes but did they originate in Grimsby? I don't know.

I guess our friendly Grimsby fan could let us know if he is reading!

What about QPR? is there a Queens Park close to Loftus Road?

Yeah, it's about 2 miles up the road from where they play now but I think it's where their original ground was.

Cheers, I have heard of Queens Park in Brent but didn't know if that was anything to do with QPR's roots.

How about West Ham?

I think they are actually located in East Ham

Reading are actually not in Reading either. There are so many clubs who have moved from their town centres these days though and are now five miles or more away from original grounds.
Oxford at Headington was of course a lot closer to the city than their present ground.

If Port Vale go out of business then that would be very sad.

Port Vale will never be a threat to Stoke City again as rivals, so I disagree there is probably sympathy from their fans.

From some no doubt....many think that Oxford will never be a threat to us but no doubt many would feel a sense a glee if they went tits up......anyway as you say they are a fine old club and i reckon they will be ok.
