How did Vic get into the written press, his style of writing is absolutely awful?

Agree it's not great.  He doesn't seem to be able to form paragraphs properly.  Does he get paid for this tripe?

I thought it was fine myself. It's just a couple of paragraphs in The Adver, he's not going for the Pulitzer Prize. Roll Eyes

And he probably doesn't get paid.

I think a few editorial changes to grammar might have helped... but Vic's right. How an expensive ticket can be more costly to process than a cheap ticket is beyond me. I paid for 10 tickets on my card, and the booking fee came to about £30 I think. Some people have said they've been charged £50+ for their transactions.

Card costs a pittence. Printing on to it is cheap. And envelopes cost about 0.1p each if you buy from the right place! Admittedly there is a cost of postage, and they need to pay the guy who took my call... but they charged me a fair whack for my 5 minute phone call already.

So basically, out of my £30+, I reckon they've made at least £25 profit. If Chesterfield can handle bookings without forcing fans to spend all this extra cash, it's something STFC need to look into in the future (if the opportunity arises).
