Attendances last night

Not had a look at all of the attendances last night but Pox had about 5,500 and Bradford had just over 2k (their home gate is nearer 9k I thought!!). We had over 8k which is bloody good (although it was a top of the table clash).

As last night was valentines, am I safe to assume that Swindon has the least romantic fans in league 2 and Bradford have the most?

Bradford City had a computer error last night the official attendance was 9,588.

The 2,000 odd figure was the paying attendance not including the season ticket holders apparently.

Now we are over the worst of the weather (hopefully) it would be good if the club could open up the Stratton bank on games where there is no chance of home fans getting on there?

Yes it costs money. But we basically got a home sellout against Barnet. It makes a massive difference.

With the amount of home games we've got coming up in a short period, I doubt we'll sell enough tickets to warrant that - Crawley should have been the biggest attraction and ther was plenty of spare space.

Having said that,I'd like it to be necessary to open the bank .

That all depends on how the remainder of the season pans out.  From memory, when we have been in contention for promotion during the run in, crowds have always risen during the final months of the season in anticipation.  (Particularly remember this happening in early 1993 and early 1996.)  With Shrewsbury, Cheltenham and Torquay all still to come to the County Ground - as well as Plymouth and Northampton in the latter stages, both of whom have decent followings and could well be fighting for their lives at that point - I would not be surprised to see a few more 10,000+ crowds between now and the end of the season...so long as the wheels stay on.

Usually I'd agree with that Ardiles, but I'm not sure 5 home games in quick succession is going to be as affordable to all, comparedto an even spread between now and the end of April. Of course we'll get high numbers as the climax approaches.
