Di Canio banished to stands for crucial Crawley clash

<p>
  PAOLO Di Canio will watch Tuesday’s crunch League Two clash with promotion rivals Crawley from the stands after the Italian was hit with a two-match ban yesterday.

I'm surprised that here have not been any comments attributed to this news. Unless there is another thread I've missed?

However, anyone surprised? I would love to see the stats WRT the "conviction rate" of those charged by the FA or football league for their misdemeanors. My assumption is that with those type of kangaroo court proceedings you're guilty unless proven otherwise rather than the other way round.

No Evans should be made to watch from the Bank, that way he can't infect anyone else

I thought PDC gave it the big un saying he would challenge any ban.  Does anyone know why he didn't?

A lot of people will be going without dinner then, just let him pick the scraps out of the bins.

With Paolo in the stands for the Crawley game it may quieten down Evans trying to wind up our bench as he has been up to his old tricks. Maybe Fabrizio and Claudio can pretend they don't speak English (Capello style) and ignore Evans

This is the one game I thought Paolo would have a very good chance of getting himself into some serious trouble so him and Evans being split up has probably worked out for the better.

he's only been in the stands vs Rothertham and we won, so his in the stands record is 100%

Unless you count the games where he was sent to the stands, in which case that's three wins (Northampton, Rotherham & Macclesfield) out of four  (I don't want to be reminded of the non win Wink  )
