Let's not forget Risser is a CB
I felt nervous when he played at the back. Emergency CB maybe!

You simply cannot risk the fitness & long term prospects of a player as young as Aden Flint - so surgery is the right thing and the club should stand by him. If we show some loyalty to him right now, then hopefully he'll return it several times over in the seasons ahead.
Paolo nearly lost his leg because some of the doctors at Lazio pumped him full of cortisone rather than get his tendon problem treated, so I can't imagine for a moment that he would advise Flint to do anything other than get this sorted now for the long term. It's a shame for Flint that after being so impressive he will miss out on the possibility of a Wembley visit and/or the sealing of promotion, but we have decent cover and the best manager in the league so we will cope.

Yeah he can. Looked fine there the one time he played there... for 20 minutes... I think he'd be fine though.

But, like McCormack, is small. Think we should keep with Devera for now, if anything for his height.

Did Cibocchi not slot in at CB earlier on in the season as well? Did a competent job iirc.

I've got a lot of time for Joe Devera as he started as a regular and then essentially disappeared and when he has come back, he's done his bit.
I'm sure many within the dreaded Class of 2011 would have been whining and moaning.

Yeah true - I'd only want him there in an absolute emergency anyway. Joe is just as capable as Flinty

Never was a ball winner though. A like for like is what we need. Flint has done really well but mac is the man who is the one we don't want to lose. Flint is not going to be too difficult to replace i think

The OS has him as 5ft11, the same as McCormack.

I thought McCormack was only 5'7" so if that's the case then IMO neither are small.
