Ouch. Aden my old mate, taking one for the team is not worth it. Get yourself sorted and come back next season bigger, stronger and better. Good luck.

Agreed. Devera has the ability to replace Flint's value aerially, and while he still looks a little shaky in possession sometimes, he's more than adequate cover.

It's a blow, because he has been immense.

But as said its not as bad as it could have been, based on Devera's recent performances. I think he has performed pretty well and with Alan Mac (mark II) can form a solid partnership.

As for Flint, I would rather he's 100% ready for next season, than struggle through not being at his best, to find that he may still need surgery & then potentially miss the start of next season.

You simply cannot risk the fitness & long term prospects of a player as young as Aden Flint - so surgery is the right thing and the club should stand by him.  If we show some loyalty to him right now, then hopefully he'll return it several times over in the seasons ahead.

Something like this was bound to happen at some point...we've been very lucky with injuries so far this season.  Luckily, we do have competition for places in the squad.  Devera's chance...needs to step up and take it now.  I have faith.

Gutted. Hopefully Devera can step up, he looked a bit shaky at the start of the game at Southend but then grew into it.

Flint will be a big loss but he was prone to errors himself.

We have Devera and Boateng. I would deem that more than adequate.

Problem is if you lose either McCormack or Devera through injury then we are thread bare at the back.  I know we have bought in the young lad from Arsenal as cover but he has no league experience.  Maybe he'll be a good signing for us but the fact is if we get any more injuries / suspensions at CB then we could be very vunerable at the back.

Not good news.

Devera is playing well and is more of a threat at set-pieces than Flint (surprisingly!), but if he or McCormack get injured or lose form then we have a problem. I don't think we can rely on the Arsenal kiddy.

Whilst Flint will be a big loss, Devera can step in and do a very good job.

I'd be more worried about losing Alan Mac to be honest. I think to a certain extend Devera and Flint are interchangeable. I wouldnt say the same for Alan Mac and Boateng!!
