Elding? Are you taking the piss? The bloke couldn't score smack in Glasgow.
And Paynter... No thanks. He had his purple patch and recapturing that would be a very big ask. I'd rather have an unknown that might come good.
We could do worse than Constable....oh...yeah....I forgot already....

Who was that bloke who played non-league that was averaging a goal a game, for several seasons, that someone (Shady?) used to say we should sign all the time? I think he played down south, near Weymouth or maybe the Isle of Wight or somewhere?!
I don't know, I'm making it up as I type and can't be bothered to delete it now!

He can no doubt score goals at this level but I question if he could cut it in League 1, even the Pox fans themselves don't think he is that good. £200k saved and I'm sure we have lined up option 2 already

Delighted that he's turned us down, never rated him.
Also delighted that Poxford gave permission for him to go and so pissing off their own supporters, and then we won't sign him anyway - it's the best of both worlds.

So Paolo got him in for talks & said "never wanted you to join, just wanted to piss off all the scummers, so fuck off back to Scumville" Mission accomplished.

Why the hell Oxford went public with I'll never know. The bloke was getting some disgusting and vile threats on Twitter this afternoon. Oxford fed him to the wolves. They should've kept quiet until the deal was completed or not said anything if he rejected us like he did.

Complete PR disaster for Oxford. They're now stuck with a want-away player, or will have to accept other bids knowing that their bargaining position is weakened. What a strange day.
