Day off today,so me and my good wife spent a bit of time together in town and she decided to pop into Peacocks to spend her fourty pounds in vouchers gifts from Christmas
Well after 40 mins her trying jeans on etc we were told the that the vouchers were not being honoured by the Admin people....so i ask the manager why no sign on the window to stop people wasting there time?,the Admins wont allow it.
So i nearly walk out of the shop with the goods to the value because by now i was totally pissed off,my wife insisted i didn't Cheesy

Should i pop into tomorow and grab the goods to the value?,or bite the bullet and be a responsible citizen Cheesy

Always a dodgy one with gift tokens/vouchers. They have no monetary value and their exchange for goods is at the discretion of the store and once it is in admin they are the first to be written off.

Just before Courts went into receivership a few years back, i had put down a £100 deposit on a furniture delivery. Once I found out that all outstanding orders had been cancelled i returned to the store to be told that my deposit was null and void and I would have to contact the administrators to try and return my money. In a fit of rage I grabbed a small coffee table on the way out which was for sale at the convienient price of £100. The store manager never gave chase and more surprisingly I never had a police visit. Although I was stuck with a coffee table I didnt need and later sold for £30. Still, to me it was the priciple of the matter.

A friend did similar when Bensons Beds went into admin and they were waiting for delivery of a bed.

They walked into the store, dismantled a bed, loaded it into the back of a van and drove off. The manager just stood and watched.

Good luck.  I would do it after the game on Saturday just in case you get done for shop lifting.

Leefer, don't give them the pleasure of calling the police and having time off work for a court case. Keep hold of the vouchers and hopefully you can spend them in the future, you never know they may even give you more for the inconvenience.

Those vouchers are a pain - companies who run them frequently seem to be going bust then the shops have to take the blame for it. Used to cause all sorts of problems when I worked in Smiths.
