We used to have similar problems at the student union I ran with bloody law students who would get pissed up start a fight and then claim assault because they are being 'escorted' out of the venue.
As you say, he went through a red light, man up and take the ticket.

Once saw somebody claiming to be a lawyer at the Thai - Cambodian border.
She was on overstay..... her visa had expired. In such cases you pay a fine and off you go, problem sorted. This gobby cow however was refusing to pay the fine saying it wasn't her fault, she was saying somebody else adviced her differently. She was in the wrong, there was no two ways about it. She kept telling them she was a lawyer as though they would drop in awe and let her through.
One does have a choice in these matters: Pay the fine or go to court. The immigration bods called the rozzers and and she was taken away. I suspect the fat gobby cow spent much of her holiday in the immigration detention center waiting for a court date.

I watched "the million pound drop" the other day. There was a law student on there. All I can say is that the entry requirements for reading law aren't what they used to be. |

Didn't think the police were bothered about cyclists breaking the law any more. I see it daily, running red lights, going the wrong way on a one way street, having no lights, & cycling on pavements.
