Speculation on Pox board was £175k for 1st bid £200k for 2nd bid. No way is he worth this
I'd rather we bid 200k for Tubbs but I guess Creepy can afford to hold out for silly money.

They'll get £350,000 max for Tubbs. Wouldn't go for either Tubbs or Constable though, would rather Grabban or McLeod.

Crawley fans reckon they're looking for about £400k for Tubbs.

Rivalry aside, I'm beginning to warm to the thought of signing Constable now.
And 9 goals with half-ish the season gone. 18 goals is not a bad tally at all for a player that adds more than just goals.

Dreamland, surely? He'll be 28 by the end of the season and a higher league team signing him is always going to be a risk, what with no experience in the league above and just half a season (so far) and a failed loan spell's football league experience under his belt. If Crawley have to sell players, then potential suitors should be looking at Tyrone Barnett, a much better player with far more potential.

I'd rather Grabban too, but Kee would be first choice for me. Constable would be another Connell - similar age, similar type of player. Both probably not going to pull up trees in L1. Benson looks like the player we have been missing, sharp, quick, intelligent.

Forgot about Kee but I completely agree, he's another we should be looking at!

Just a quick point regarding Grabban. Isn't he a winger? He plays at RM for Rotherham. I'd imagine we'd be looking at him only if Ritchie goes (fingers crossed he doesn't though).

Would prefer McLeod, 15 in a struggling side isn't too shabby

Grabban is a striker. He's been up top with Revell.

Grabban impressed me earlier in the season, apart from he never stopped moaning at the ref.
6 of Mcleods goals have come from the penalty spot, but regardless his record this season is still good for a team near the bottom

Get Revell back. Would at least stop him scoring against us ALL THE TIME.

I had a quick look around at the strikers named in this thread, working out goals per game average at Conference level and above (yes I am sad and bored)
Tubbs 215 games 112 goals - 1 goal every 1.9 games, aged 27 Constable 231 games 93 goals - 1 goal every 2.4 games, aged 27 McLeod 258 games 92 goals - 1 goal every 2.8 games, aged 27 Kee 99 games 30 goals - 1 goal every 3.3 games, aged 21 Connell 278 games 72 goals - 1 goal every 3.8 games, aged 28 Grabban 140 games 30 goals - 1 goal every 4.6 games, aged 24
Grabban and Kee have age on their side compaired to the others but the thing with Constable is that hes a very different player to all the others listed here and also very different from what we already have.
Hes a tall bustling muscular target man, Connell, Magera, De Vita, Murray, Kerrouche and Benson aren't that and that is obviously exactly what PdC wants.

This. People are saying they prefer connell but he is only basically playing as a target man because we don't have one or Magera is playing shit.
