How long do we have to wait to name names?

I would suspect the following: Smith (Not needed and I suspect we could get an emergency loan if Fodders was injured) Lanzano (When someone will take him) Commazzi (I so wanted us to have a hard, balding, nasty, dirty Italian in defence, but its not worked out) Esajes (Seems to have fallen out of favour again and hasn't appeared to do much in his cameos) Kerroooosh (Real shame as he could have been a real cult hero) Pavett (Hmmm)
Ones still on the fringes appear to be: Gabilondo Cibbocci Devera (after last week)

Devera and Gabilondo? On the fringes of the first XI maybe, but still in the matchday squad most weeks when fit. Wouldn't think either of those would be anywhere near moving on.

Maybe with all these new signings, De Vita could also go.

That's just plain stupid. It would leave us with just youth team keepers for cover. Smith isn't going anywhere.

Why is it stupid? PDC doesnt put a 2nd keeper on the bench and we don't have a reserve team. As I said, if Foderingham were to get injured we could get an emergency loan. We've got Mark Scott & Liam Bedwell too. I suspect that Phil Smith is one of the higher earners due to contracts being signed before relegation. So, maybe his wages could be used in a different way? Also, we have Lanzano until he can find another club, which might be soon or might not be. You've also got to wonder whether Smith, who has been a good and loyal servant to the club, will be happy to continue in the shadows. Its all very well fighting for your place, but the signing in Fodderingham suggests the fight is over. In Benson's recent interview, he said something along the lines of it being soul destroying to train 5 days a week and then not play a game for months on end. Must be the same for Smith who must surely want to play?

Been linked with a £350k move for Izale Mcleod in this mornings Daily Mirror, not the msot reliable of sources but might be something in it.

How does the emergency loan system for keepers work then? Surely if we get rid of our only other experienced keeper and don't fancy using one of the young'uns, surely the FL will tell us to get fucked. No?

'Outside of the transfer window, a club may still sign players on an emergency basis, usually if they have no goalkeeper available.' Think this happens quite a lot.

Not if you've brought it upon yourself by only having one senior keeper and two youth keepers. Having anything less than two senior keepers that you'd be happy with playing on an extended basis is suicide, whether or not they're on the bench. Smith won't be going anywhere, but if he and Lanzano do we'll bring another keeper in as cover.

Smith won't leave, i cant imagine many decent clubs wanting to take a league 2 sides reserve keeper. Not only that, I think he's a decent keeper and more than adequate backup should Foderingham get injured/suspended.
