Now that STFC have signed Paul Benson - who may feature this afternoon against AFC Wimbledon - we ask whether Paolo Di Canio's long search for a 'nasty striker' is now over?

That almost makes him sound like the 'second striker' that PDC has talked about. More like someone who would contend with Connell and Kerrooosh for a place alongside a big target man.

View from Charlton fan;

I think he’ll be good for you – an all rounder striker who does a bit of everything. Played most of his football in league 2 or below but was Dagenham and Redbridge’s star player when we bought him 2 years ago for £200k – will score goals but Powell doesn’t rate him and to be honest, he’s a mid / lower league 1 or league 2 player – will be good to score goals to get you up.

Nope.... we provide STFC articles that Adver doesn't or can't.

Looked like a great striker. His movement and judgements were top class against Wigan!

Just a bit nervous about his history with Barnet FC according to this interview...

Do we dare to play him on tuesday??
