First of all i am the first to admit that The man has been poor so far.....but the stick he is getting is uncalled for so early in his Town career surely Hmmm
Paolo is picking him so he knows he will come good....and also his attitude and training is spot on otherwise he would be history.
He hasn't even started ten matches and granted people are only commenting on what they have seen, but surely he cannot be judged on less than ten matches.
He isn't a Connell,Murray or Kerrouche.....putting good shifts in but he is quality and believe me the cream always comes to the top eventually....he will do the biz for us,no doubt about it.
Its not a post to knock the people who don't rate him......more of a post of asking the fans to give him support because thats what he needs. Cheesy

He didn't play as an out and out striker in romania/czech republic did he? A fact handily ignored/missed by the many who slate him.

Must admit I don't understand the claims he's lazy either. I've seen him track back to the edge of our own box in matches to win the ball back.

I will admit he looks a couple of paces behind the play, but i'll readily put that down to the fact it's a  new country for him, and he's either been injured or coming back from injury since he's signed. Give him time, and he'll come good.

Our fans have to have a scapegoat at the moment it's Magera...I agree with everything you say Leefer.

He was shit today though, we looked much better when Connell replaced him for the second half.

He's coming across a bit like Andy Carroll - talented player but you will only get the best out of him if you build the team around him and his strength. If you dont he'll be a passenger.

I'd still like to see him play upfront with Kerrouche but I doubt that is going to happen anytime soon.

I hope it works out here for him in the end.

I think once we get another strker in he'll be out of the picture. I'm one of the ones slating him but during the game i'll get behind him. If we can ship him out then i wouldn't pass up the opportunity.

I think he is being made a bit of a scapegoat and being written off too early, but having said that recent performances haven't been good enough

I don't think he did that bad yesterday. Nobody would mention anything good he did, yet the moment he made an error. FUCK SAKE LUKAS.

He and Risser did ok yesterday. Don't think there's any need for us to have a scapegoat, we should all be pulling in the same direction and supporting everyone. Must feel crappy being out of form in a performing side.

I think there is more to Magera than we have seen. Problem is that expectation is very high because he was a recent Czech international. He has looked nowhere near that class. He also doesn't look very threatening near goal - this may not be part of his normal game but he was signed as a striker so again reality is not meeting expectation. I hope he comes good, every now and again he plays a ball that makes you think he has it in him to.

Risser for me is a different story. As far as I can see he can head the ball and he can shoot. Other than that he has looked like a shit Michael Pook. I hope I'm wrong, he seems like a nice honest bloke, but footballer no.

Risser was doing the job that Paolo wanted him to do yesterday though. We knew what we were gonna get from Northampton and he was winning a lot in the air. Ok so he made a hash of a couple of things but he also played so great balls out to Raffa - and some shit ones too, not a starter but definitely a horse for a particular course.

I didn't really pick up on that. Maybe my cynicism is blinding me!

There was a good comedy moment - which can happen to any player - where he was about to leather the ball but hit it with his standing leg and ended up swinging a practice tee shot instead. That made me laugh.

On his sending off, it looked an automatic red straight away but I don't think he meant it. I think he was just very slow trying to get to the ball.

Anyway, enough about Risser in a Megera thread.

Good post and agree.

I think it's a case of struggling with the rush and thunder of Div 2 football.
I hope he makes it like all players in the Swindon shirt.

As for the disgraceful comments aimed at Ritchie that was crazy.
My Cobbler mate said that Ritchie (despite the mistake which he held up his hands), McCormack and Caddis looked class above everyone else on the field.
I wish our fans would support and get behind the players for 90 minutes. After the whistle sure then moan.

Obviously I hope he comes good and proves us all wrong but so far I've seen very little to suggest that he will do so and whilst we persevere in playing him we're effectively carrying a passenger at present.

I can't comment on his performances in training - presumably he works very hard otherwise Di Canio wouldn't select him - but although he has shown some moments of quality, he's not done enough for me. I don't think he works hard enough, his first touch at times is awful and he doesn't look like a striker/forward so as others have suggested perhaps he should be told to play a bit deeper?

Some of the abuse he is getting is out of order - overheard someone shout to him to get back on the bus as they disembarked at Sixfields yesterday.
