As a Southend fan it would be interesting to hear a few more views on the lad. Clearly didn't set the world alight but wondering if you guys can give any more info on him. Sounds like a good deal all round to be fair.
Are you named after Daniel Fredheim Holm?

Not sure how Benyon scoring goals for Southend is going to be good for us.

Don't imagine we will get very much for him in comparison to the damage he could do our own promotion chances if he starts scoring as many goals for Southend as he did for Torquay. We brought him in to score goals for us and wasn't IMO given a fair chance by Wilson and co. agree he could still score goals.

If we needed wiggle room in the wage budget to bring someone else in then he had to go. Lets say his sale helps bring Fodderingham in. In my opinion that would be more important than not selling Benyon to Southend. Maybe there were no other suitors.
That said I take the point, I'm convinced we didn't see the real Elliott Benyon. He can do damage in this league.

Agree about having a bit extra for our budget but I would of preferred it if a mid table team was taking a chance on Benyon instead of a rival promotion team.

I don't think there is any argument with that, but there may not have been too many takers.

Manangers must be judging him on his Wycombe proformances or lack of them as like you say he has proved himself at this level.
