I think the council understands that this football club is an important gateway to Swindon. A redeveloped County Ground sitting alongside an upgraded Magic Roundabout in an enhanced area and I think that will give the town a lift

The thought of SBC trying to upgrade the Magic Roundabout    what are they going to do put a roof over it?  Have a monorail linking it to the enhanced Whale Bridge roundabout?

 Place your suggestions here....

Maybe they will put some lovely potted plants on it.

May sound stupid Reg but the town does get alot of people who do come just to go round the Magic.

My grandad used to love telling me that on average 3 times a week he would have to detour just so passengers would be able to go across it.

I like it....but why not combine a roof and plants and go for an Eden Project style biome?

Maybe Councillor Bluh is planning on turning it into a canal turning basin when he gets his wish of the canal through Swindon!  Ball boys to the coracles!!!!!

I'm hoping they put some big speakers around it and play the Magic Roundabout song all day long whilst giving away free drugs.

I'd like to see some huge revolving doors put on the magic, akin to the ones at the hospital,  it would filter the traffic nicely.

I hear the Oasis dome is about to be scrapped soon, they could always use that as a roof over the magic roundabout & make it the 'Magic Eden Roundabout'

Blue sky thinking....or maybe green sky thinking....a recycled dome.  Get Ronnie's canal basin in there, and then the terrapins that used to live in the Queen's Park hot house could be rehoused, along with the cacti.

I love it when a plan comes together!

There's already a 12 inch Christmas tree at the base of the light column (even better than last years), what more do they want?

Wasn't there talk some time ago of them adding a flyover to the Magic Roundabout, for the Queens Drive road (or whatever it is called there)? Can't see it happening though and I'm not sure how they'd fit it in.
