Not quite sure why you think a dhansak is an abnormal curry, it's just another type of curry.

Never had oily food from there but have from other curry establishments. Their food is very tasty imo,but si pie said the same as you so maybe my palate aint all that. I do agree on portion sizes for certain curries though.
