Lalbagh.. I'm a complete snob when it comes to curry & I have to agree that Lalbagh is prob the best delivered curry in swindon ( Dhansak & Jalfrezi are my faves)
They also send me Christmas cards every year but have yet to spell my name right

Went to the Mela last night, was very impressed. Probably the best Indian meal i've had in Swindon.

(I know they don't deliver, but they do takeaways if you're willing to collect)

Being the son of an anglo Indian, I make my own, with a small aubergine.....

Best done the day before and left overnight to infuse the spices, which gives the lager time to chill and the loo roll time to get to freezer temperature  Wink

Fry your own popadums, get the ones with seeds in from the Indian shops, jar of lime pickle, mangle chutney, creme fraich or sour cream with a dollop of mint sauce for starters yum yum.

I reckon Monsoon on Faringdon Road are the best, they do delivery. Pretty certain they've got something to do with Mela in Old Town - family or friends or same owner or something like that. The dhansak in Monsoon is the best ever, closely followed by Mela.

Curry Cottage used to be my takeaway of choice, they've been poor recently though.

Why. What's changed?
Had one 2 weeks ago and it was as good as it usually is. Only issue i have had is the time it takes to deliver is sometimes long on busy days.
