I went to Milan via malpensa airport, good rail links. You can get the train from malpensa to como.. takes about an hour and a half.

You're probably better off Googling trains malpensa to como. I went malpensa straight to Milan central about 11 years ago (San siro.) It was still lira then instead of euros

Sorry to hijack Titter titter, batch, given your penchant for long black jackets and the odd reference to DM now and then, I assume you are a big dm fan...I used to be very heavily into them up until about violater...got all the rarities, coloured vinyls etc...but since then, the albums have gone right down hill...

A while ago now, but I hired a car in Milan and drove up around Como before heading for the Malojapass (sp?) and up in to Switzerland. Stunning scenery. You'll love it.

Yes, very much like early DM (actually I had a DM song sang at my wedding, and no not Strangelove). I thought Songs of Faith and Devotion wasn't too bad, and the latest Sounds of the Universe was OK but took a few listens. But everything in-between was very disappointing and/or compilations. never really got into the endless remixes or collectables! Anyway Italy..

Yes it was, as MR says about 40 mins. The return journey was better; one of my mates had been feeling rough after the night before, the train motion brought on his very loud vomiting ( in the train bogs). I sat there pretending to read an Italian sport paper "gazetta " sp. so not to be associated with the barbarian.
