There is a much bigger picture than just advancing in the cup here.

Make no bones about it Southend need the money from this competition.A final in this actually generates more cash than a ame against Liverpool.

I want us to go here and smash them.Let's show them we are a team to be worried about in the league let's hit there confidence stop them progressing in the competition and lets hope they hope a dip in form because of it. Stopping them adavance means less money in the long run so they can't strenghen in january with any cup money

Fair point, but does the prize money get paid out that soon?

Not as such but you can budget for it i would of thought. If they know they got a wembley final to go for example i would of thought they can make a few signings or at least pay some wages for players they may not have got before.

The only downside to this is they may not be able to buy Timlin, which means we may not be able to strengthen in January. The opposite is the spin I'll put on should we lose:)

I guess both teams will make 4 or 5 changes from the league games tonight. I'm hopeful our squad is strong than theirs.

Do we have to play N fit players that have played the most league games, or from the last league game? Either way I'd imagine Ferry will be in if not sick.

Yes, that's why Timlin can't get in our team Wink

I don't expect too many changes tonight. Who starts up front is anybody's guess, but apart from that most of the team will probably look similar to recent weeks.

I reckons Murrary & Magera personally.

Providing Murray is up to Paolo's fitness levels.
