Simple question: Are artificial Christmas trees wrong?
We have always had a real one before, but saw some fairly decent looking artificial ones yesterday and now wondering whether it might be easier to have one of these for a few years...at least until our boys are a little less small. Thoughts anyone?

We don't bother with a tree any more but always used to use an artificial one, less messing about and you don't get needles everywhere.

We've nearly always had an artificial one at my parents' house. Nothing wrong with that at all, much less hassle and sometimes they can be a bit nicer to look at!

We've got an artificial one that looks nice. We got a real one 3-4 years ago and it was ok, but after xmas you have to get rid of the thing which is a pain in the arse.

you still have to get rid of a fake one (sort of) every year.
I always had an artificial one at home but the missus insisted on a real tree last year and despite my reservations about needles and it dying off, we came back after a week away at New Year and it had shed very little and was still looking very healthy when we took it to the dump...still finding needles in my boot though

Always had a real tree - something about going to buy it (we used to get ours from somewhere near Savernake) and the smell makes it feel super Christmassy!

One of my many foster parents used to burn pine cones on an open fire...then cut a tree down from the many she had on her land in the New Forest....the smell of the burning cones and the tree.......pure Xmas.

Yep, burning the tree in Jan to keep warm and make the place smell nice is a favourite. One of the few pleasures of Jan.
