Thank FUCK im lower league, and thank fuck im Swindon.  Yes  And why?

QUOTE!

'I just watched that Football years nonsense 1990-91 season, when we pisssed the league.

Our team was made up of people like

Dave Seaman
Tony Adams
Stevie Bould
Winterburn
Dixon
Paul Merson
O Leary
Paul Davies
Michael Thomas
David Rocastle
Anders Limpar
Perry Groves
Alan Smith

The only foreigner was Limpar (well O Leary too), and he was a quality player, and mad as fuck.

The rest were just a bunch of lads, blokes out on the piss in Islington- not at fancy bars, but places like RaRa's and the surrounding boozers. Our captain drove a Sierra Cosworth around Essex (and crashed it pissed out of his nut and on gear).

Terracing at Highbury, pisshead players doing anti Yid chants, most of our team born in London, Essex or Kent, proper supporters...I could go on and on.

We sold Viera today, and I didnt bat an eyelid, in fact I'm glad the annoying Somalian featured French cunt is gone. He has not been liked for ages (by PROPER fans). I couldnt give a toss about him, and it made me think, if we had sold Adams in 1993 I owuld have been gutted to the pit of my stomach, and would probably have tried to torch Highbury, yet here we are with a captain who I and many others thought was a cunt.

I go and watch a team full of multi-millionaire foreigners who know fuck all about the club, a bunch of mercenaries who only ever see Islington on a match day, players like Reyes who caught a flight to Spain 2 hours after winning the FA Cup.

The support is 95% a bunch of cunts, people I would gladly chin at the best of times, bandwagon jumpers, post Fever pitch cunts, post Euro 96 mugs, families, day trippers and tourists etc...

We have a club selling season tickets for £20,000 a go, a club that has shafted people on the 10 year season ticket waiting list to cash in on the corporate fans, the support of a Japanese guest of a casino who is in town for a weekend is more important to the club. We got a bunch of mouthy post football factory kids making all the noise, but in reality are just a bunch of chav tramps who also deserve getting chinned.

In short, I dont care anymore.

Winning the League cup in 1987 meant mor eto me, than our past two Premiership wins, and about 10 million times more to me than our last 3 FA Cup wins.

In short, I dont care anymore.

Its fucking rubbish, overpriced, getting into a load of trouble for nothing (more money being spent on intelligence for football than any Islam suicide cunts), bandwagon cunts, wanker players, terrace scene has been dead for arguably 10 years (old cunts will say much longer), and everything that meant Arsenal to me is pretty much gone or going.

The Club
The players
The badge
The ground
The attitude
The togetherness
The pissed up crash a Sierra and do wanker signs at Yids before puking in fron tof the mayor shennanigans
Hearing the crowd cheer a goal from the Angel, making out the chants from St Pausl Rd- now you cant hear anything in the ground.

Its all shit.

Well done Sky, Arsenal Ltd Company, Agents, The European Court in Bosman, the FA, all the clubs in the UK, Thatcher, the Court Service, the CPS, the Police, John Major, Blair, UEFA, David Dein, players in fact EVERYONE.

You have all ruined football fo rme.

Before any cunt sticks their oar in, the same can be said for almost every Premiership club, its shit for everyone.

Rant over, up yours you cunts.

RIP FOOTBALL.

END OF QUOTE

The true spirit of football will prevail though. It can thrive on the sort of supporters we have at this football club. I saw it in the spirit of the Townend stand 02/03/04. I see it in the lads I drink with at games that Iv known for years and the ones who are new to me. I can see it in the posts of some of the lads on here. Despite NO MONEY we have high hopes for the comming campaign. Lets hope for excitement and something we all believe in.

Come on you reds! (Premiership   http://67.18.37.16/525/186/emo/jack.gif)

don't get me wrong i love watching the premiership footy.
likes of Burgkamp, Terry, Henry etc but to go and follow any other team....i couldn't.

i have premiership football on my door in Birmingham and Villa and would take me 30mins to get there and costs cheaper to get in but i will always be Swindon, money goes to Swindon and most important, my heart is Swindon.

Hes probably upset by the move to the new ground as well. A long term supporter who feels thoroughly disenfranchised by his own club.

i think it is fair that you say you support the team where you live or come from...even if by coincidence it is a premiership team? think thats also a totally different matter.

started watching football properly in the early eighties when liverpool pissed on everyone and were on tv nearly every week. my dad started taking me to swindon games soon after and i got hooked instantly.
i am a liverpool fan but a swindon SUPPORTER but like with arsenal the heart and soul is being stripped out of a club like liverpool for cold hard cash, now 'real liverpool' has nearly twice as many spaniards than scoucers in its starting eleven. fans are becoming disillusioned with big earning champagne charlies holding clubs hostage for there services being out of touch with the common supporter,
everyone wants there club to be successful but the beauty of lower league football is the players are closer to the common man and easier to relate too.
makes me wonder at what cost to us in the townend, the nationwide and arkells stand if we make it to the heady heights of the premiership again.

sorry if this dosen't make much sense, i'm very tired

This is one thing that really gets on my tits, although it started well before Football Factory.  I think I just have a problem with people who are mouthy when they know there is no chance of bother.

In relation to the whole post, at times I've just felt like going to watch non-league as it has been far from a real football experience at Swindon.  It's up to us to make it better though, and it can be done.
