Bishop believes form book means nothing

ALDERSHOT assistant boss Matthew Bishop is refusing to look too much into Swindon’s recent form and is confident his side can cause the Robins problems tomorrow if they play to their ability.

Check Bishop's comments here in the Aldershot News & Mail.  Praise indeed!

Bish and Dean look to do Italian job at Swindon

SHOTS assistant boss Matthew Bishop has revealed Dean Holdsworth’s possible method of conversing with opposite number Paolo Di Canio on Saturday – in a bit of Italian.

Holdsworth and Bishop will go head-to-head with the charismatic former West Ham and Sheffield Wednesday star tomorrow when the Shots make the trip up the M4 to face Di Canio's improved Swindon Town side.

And Bish has revealed that boss Dean has even learned the lingo as he plots to win the battle of the former strikers. “It’s nice to pit yourself against a massive club like Swindon and their great tradition,” Bishop said.

“And then there’s Di Canio in the other dug-out, so that will be interesting.”

Asked if he speaks Italian by Premium Shots, Bishop replied: “No, but the gaffer does and he does it well, I just laugh and I look forward to it.”

The Robins are unbeaten in ten matches in all competitions and Bishop knows the Shots face a tough task ahead.

“We’re expecting a tough game, it’s going to be a good challenge for us,” he added. “They’ve been on a great run of form but the important thing for us is that we go there and give a good account of ourselves and if we do that then we’ll give them a few problems.”
