Enjoyed the game today, regretted taking my big coat cos the body heat alone was over powering!

Caddis looked a stonewall pen - thought their number 22 got away with a big shove in the box on Connell earlier on too. Big Wes kept us in it with two brilliant reflex saves, Risser was anonymous and Smith needs to be back in the starting line-up. Wimbledon had a defence of donkeys and relied on hoofs. Officials were shocking today, absolutely baffling.

Oh and Ritchie was poor today. Sulked when he came off.

Just got back, no problems at all getting into the home end, even though we were clocked by a couple of supporters early on - friendly bunch of supporters. As expected no checks done at all to ascertain if we were Wimbledon or not.

Have to say embarrassed by the behaviour of some of our own after we scored - the chant " we are Swindon we do what we like" as they try to 'kick off' is fucking embarrassing to say the least, especially when Paolo turns round from the dugout and tries to calm them down. Grow up.

As for the game glad to take the point, but we should have scored at least 3 in the first half, we were refused 2 stonewall penalties especially the last one - there was a deep intake of breath from the dons fans at the last one when the 'tackle' was made which says everything.

Another thing that struck me was in the last 15 minutes our fitness definitely showed - we were 1st to everything and should have wrapped up the game - do we need a fucking striker or what?

Anyway in summary I have had too much beer to make much more sense but a decent point, a nice away ground and a great day out.

Our terrace reminded me of Barnet or Hereford in that I couldn't see a thing on the left hand side in the second half.

Onto the game. Summed up in Two words- Risser & Connell.

What is Risser doing in the team. He adds no value and missed the ball completly before it went to their fellow who scored! The team improved so much when Smithy came on.

Connell. This guy is just not a player. Nobody can fault his effort and he appears to be a very nice chap, however...

This season, before today he has scored 3 goals, one of which was a featherlite touch @ Crawley. I doubt that he has troubled the keeper more than 5 times before today, however, he had 2 half chances and 3 gilt edge chances today and fluffed them all. A pathetic side foot in the 1st half when he only had to put he foot through it and the scuffed effort that hit the post.

Having said all that we have to take this as a point won when we equalise with 20 mins to go. Sometimes we have to say that a point away from home is a good point. Remember we have 13 home games and only 10 away in 2012.

Connell gets sporadic run outs in the team and scored shit loads of goals last season when playing regularly. To say he isn't a player is unfair.

Agree with everything you said except the ground it was absolutely shit.

I guess I have a reason to moan though as I was in the home end behind the home dugout with a 4 year old who wanted to go home after 10 mins and he had to sit on my shoulders for long stints !!
Anyway happy with a point.

Plenty of Town fans in the home end, standing next to another 4 but I couldn't make out why it kicked off. Was it when we scored and a problem with the stewards ?

Anyway the main takes for me Connell's miss and a stone wall penalty and maybe another.

Interesting that the general opinion of those at the game is that Risser once again offered very little and Smith should have started.  Strange decision imo, why break up the Smith/Ferry partnership that's been working so well in the last few league games?  I do hope Di Canio is not going to start chopping and changing players around too much again, as one of the main reasons we've managed to put a decent run together is due to a reasonably stable side.

In terms of Connell, I really feel for him.  He never stops working and a large proportion of the supporters (myself included) have felt he's been a bit hard done by constantly being down the pecking order.  It's a vicious circle though, because when he's been given the opportunity from the start, he's not tended to play as well and missed a number of chances hence he's dropped agin the minute someone else is fit.  I'm starting to think he might end up being another Chalky White, who has more impact when he comes on as a sub.

Got to give the dons credit, they did a great job on caddis in the first half, and put mac and flint under lots of decent pressure. But we still created loads of chances. It us obvious that ferry and smith are our best midfield pairing at the moment. Dons pressured the ball well to the extent that risser hardly got a kick. What concerns me is that ferry has to cover for risser too much, which in turn takes away his ability to hurt the opposition.

Was my first experience of watching the Town away in the home end, and can't say I enjoyed it too much. Half the fun of going to footie is surely to be able to vent your anger/frustrations from the working week so to have to watch 90 mins in silence, biting the lip was agonising!

Satisfied with the point but could definitely could have taken all 3. Risser had a mare for their goal and Smith was so much better when he came on (Although he did attempt to decapitate one of the Dons players but luckily missed).

Fodringham looked solid and Ferry was class throughout imo. Connell should have scored no doubt with his chance but no way would I place him with Risser as underperforming - thought Connell put a decent shift in.

2 pen shouts - Caddis' looked a clear pen to me and all the Dons fans were shitting themselves as if it was a pen - can't say for sure as it was the far side. Connell was a blatent pen in my eyes. He just got smashed in the back and there's no way in the world that wouldn't have been a foul in the centre circle.

No offence meant but from the John Smith's home stand I couldn't hear much singing from our away section til after we scored. Might just be the acoustics though!

Smith must start over Risser next game.

atmosphere in the away end mirrored the performance on the pitch.

I think Connell's performance was just one of those days. also just remembered flint's miss too :-)

Oh yeah, forgot about that - complete air shot from Flint from 6 yards out.

Connell should have scored his chance though after Gabi gave to him on a plate.
