Di Canio calls for '200 per cent' commitment

PAOLO Di Canio believes 200 per cent commitment and effort will be required from his players if Swindon are to become the first side to beat Huddersfield inside 90 minutes this season.

Good to see Paolo upping the ante from the usual measly 110% effort that so many modern footballers seem to get away with!

I wonder what the highest percentage a footballer could potentially play to?  If they can play at 200% tomorrow then why do they only put in 110% most weeks?

Awful cliche. Just tell them to put in maximum effort, not a fake, impossible number!

Silly Paolo!

We'll be giving 90% more effort than them. We'll crust the losers with our superior effort.

Oh wait, what if they give 210%, best make our effort infinity plus 1.

Don't be silly, Batch.  These are League 2 players we're talking about.  If any of them even attempted to give (infinity + 1) %, they would combust before even leaving the tunnel.

Sadly, I think 110% is about the limit of our squad's effort capability.  200% is wholly unrealistic, and Paolo should know better.

Good point Ardiles, and an extra point for using parenthesis to disambiguate infinity + 1 and the %. Are you an accountant?

They could have a 200% increase in commitment, though.

In fact he is, but not a chartered one, which is important. In other news, I'm in the Paddington wetherspoons, on my own, which is a lot less fun than last time I was here, pre Wembley.
