Ive also just been doing this.  Just emailed my school who have sent me information, but not copies.

Did you do CSE or are you not quite that ancient?

Because my GCSEs are spread across three exam boards, it'll cost me £35ish from each. Another £35 for my a-level certificates as they were taken at a different time so are considered entirely separate...

I did indeed do GCE o and A levels / CSE's.  Last year of them.  I am that ancient.  I know what Ive got but the examining boards?  No idea.

Im hoping results on school headed notepaper might do it.  Got them in 3 different places though, so its going to be a pain in the arse.

Have a look at page 6 of this:

If you did them in Wiltshire, you'll need to contact AQA Guildford

I found all my certificates the other day, still in the hardback envelope I put them in circa 1990. Interesting eh.

Applying to university.

My mentoring finally paid off - only took 10 years!

I expect that's where mine are. My degree certificate remains in the cardboard sleeve it came in. Only thing I've done anything with is frame my ACA certificate, mainly because its fucking huge and was getting bent out of shape. Too modest to hang it on the wall though.

Because you saw someone else was? Or for a more legitimate reason?

I got asked for them at a job interview a year or so ago. I burst out laughing then said it was over 20 years ago and they had fuck all chance of seeing them. I didn't get the job.

I still have my certificates. I try and try to get rid of them but they just keep coming back! My teenage mediocrity will forever haunt me.

Same sort of reasons, possibly applying for uni course.

I'm sure in forty years time we'll be telling the youth of today how easy they have it, and how binge drinking was just drinking in our day...

I think some refer to it as the "Daily Mail" effect.

I think I might be okay with just my a-level results, will still need to fork out £35 for replacements for two of them that have gone AWOL though!
