Great day out yesterday. I took the Mrs (again) and my 2 young lads (

& (4) and enjoyed a very long day.
Laughter from the seats when my 4 year old suddenly chants "you don't know what your doing" to the Ref.
Accrington is such a friendly proper football Club.
A few takes from the game:
Very comfortable and as soon as Jervis scored we maintained shape and discipline throughout the remainder of the match.
The new keeper - Not very tall but I liked him. Most notable point from me was his distribution, hardly put a kick or throw wrong and this helped us maintain the ball that has been lacking in away trips this season.
Liam Ridehalgh - I thought had a great game and stopped any wing threat which forced Accrington the play the long ball.
Aiden Flint - What can you say ? Just what has been missing. Thou shall not pass.
McCormack - Took a good whack first half but was tidy and efficient.
Caddis - Another great performance with some intelligent passing.
Wee Simon Ferry - Great game. Tacking, short passing and all over the park.
Smith - Gets stuck in and had a good game whilst on the pitch.
De Vita - Done O.K. but I would not be surprised if he gets moved out of the side with the next "tinker."
Ritchie - Quiet game in terms of his usual high standards but he is always a threat.
Montano - Very quick feet, liked him and a good strike.
Jervis - Steady game, a few stray balls but a good shift and well taken goal.
Risser - Took another whack and done a job when coming on as did Connell, with Magera just getting a short run out.
We stayed behind after the game and met Nick Watkins and the players. My lads got a photograph with virtually all of them which made their day. I have to say they are credit to the Club and were very polite and accomodating.
Had a real laugh with Connell, Ferry, McCormack and particularly with Risser who was in fits of laughter when talking about "another" injury, "Welcome to English football" with a smile.
Then out came Paolo with a mob of keen autograph hunters. My Mrs shouts "Paolo" and he came right over to us all shaking our hands and the boys had their photograph so they happy lads this Morning.
Before we left Accrington we went in the Pub (The Crown) next to the ground and were made to feel very welcome by the natives, mainly Accrinton fans who said we were a good side that plays football.
We then stopped in Warrington for a Chinese and then the made the rest of the journey home.
Another interesting event was stopping for a coffee at the services. I was wearing my Swindon top and having a pee with the oldest when in walks some right old pissed up yobs (Villa fans). One of them obviously spots my Red top and then starts singing "You kill your own fans, you kill your own fans you dirty scousers you kill your own fans"
Just loved it looking at him with his twat Mates and saying "We're Swindon Mate"

Great day then which makes the Weekend, unfortunately can't go to Plymuff but lets hope we can build the away form on this result.
