right, i have held back from this for over a week but i feel some form of normality needs to be brought back in line here.

last weeks bombings in london were atrocious, they were evil acts carried out by evil misguided people. the fact that it seems that the bombers were of english birth makes the whole episode even harder to stomach. How can it be that someone socialised within our own ranks could carry out such disgusting antics is beyond me.

However the racist reaction from some members of this forum is firstly ignorant and secondly exactly what the terroist scum wish for.

Yes it was muslims that carried out the attacks, but this does not mean that we should turn on the muslim community, in the same way that when the bnp bomber David Copeland blew up a gay bar in soho and shops in brick lane a few years ago did this mean all white people were evil potential bombers?

the beauty of this country of ours is first and foremost FREEDOM. that is freedom to practice religious political or even idiotic practices. This is what sets us apart from tin pot dictatorships the world over, this is what makes GREAT britain.

to talk of mass deportations of segregation or other such ridiculous and bygone ideals, reaks of facism and plays into the hand of the terroists who cant even begin to deal with a society along the lines of ours. they seek to destroy our society , fuck them lets not let them.

understanding cultures and tolerance can be the only way of defeating these nutters. Or do you really want a white britain? think about it just in terms of music no clash, happy mondays, bloc party, dizee rascal, hip hop, ska or pretty much most genres of music that have borrowed from other cultures.

when you leave the pub on a friday night no kebab or curry or chinese.
when you cant cheer that tackle by ifil or remember the crunching days of kamara.

Never said mass deportation but the ones who believe in teh killing of and preach to kill the normal brits, (whether that be white, black asian), should not remain in this country.

I belive the government has already started addressing this today in parliament.  I personally believe this will not ruin britain but that islamic brits will get rid of the fanatics.

Lets get rid of the ones who plot this and carry it out.  End of the dax mex britain is split on this and luckilly everyone is entitled to their opinions. Also no one person is right nor wrong on this subject.

Asher, I understand what you're saying but it's ridiculous mate, sorry. I can fully comprehend the fact you're angry about what happened but to lash out at the Muslim community in the way you're suggesting would be counter-productive and would probably not only lead to more terrorist attacks on Britain but it'd ruin the perfect harmony of this multi-cultural society, which is occasionally ruptured by events such as Thursday.

What ive been saying is if you have suicide bombing schools etc then the people who run/organise it/attend and finance it should be deported that is all.  Never said lets get rid or mr and mrs ali in such and such street.  Its the minority that needs to get rid of.

The reaction is understandable, not excusable.  It's not helped by the media showing images of Iraqi's celebrating after 9/11, which feeds this propaganda.  Ultimately, what people want is justice, retribution, but this will be difficult to achieve, particularly if those responsible were indeed suicide bombers.

It's the same all over, when there is a case that causes such horror people do backlash against the minority the person belongs to.  The example of Sarah Payne, and the attacks on paedophiles after The Mirror(? or the Mail?) posted their addresses.  Many innocent people fell victim to the mob.

It's not all Muslims, just the same as after the Oklahoma bombings not all white Americans were bombers, but media portrayal and anger at the events ultimately result in this sort of reaction.  I agree that it's wrong and not excusable, but at the same time I do not believe it's racism, it's want for retribution.  If you are connected to a victim of such events, ala Asher, this reaction is multiplied ten fold.

My sister was lucky to survive un-scathed in the bombings and my wife is a Muslim. I could have written an essay regarding my views on this attack but I decided against it.

Athough I would just like to say that these terrorists who kill innocent civilians can only described as cunts....

As for those who are looking to victimise the Muslim people for this: Well it attitudes like theirs that create scenarios like this in the first place.
