Hi guys,

I've currently got Ares and WinMX on my PC but they both seem to be slow as fuck nowadays, if you can even find what you are looking for.

Can anyone recommend any GOOD P2P sites or Bit Torrent sites that aren't as slow as fuck, and generally have a wide spread of things to download?

I'm currently looking for some software for the PC and I don't wanna have to buy it!  Although I did go into a store to see if they have it, and they don't!

BitLord seems to be the best program I have come across so far.  It's free to download just hit in Google.  If you are using a firewall and router you'll need to configure it as usual for Bittorrent.

It has a built in search, which is not bad.  I'll blast you a good search site I found when i get home if needs be.

Finally got it all set up myself the other day and the speeds are superb and I ransacked 10 albums yesterday.

For a decent quick search try Limewire for the odd song.  Again it's free, it was spyware free and is usually a decent enough speed.

BitComet is a very simple program to use.

As for torrent searching www.torrentspy.com or www.thepiratebay.org or www.isohunt.com are pretty good

I use BitComet too, never had any problems. In addition to the above, www.mininova.org is pretty easy to use

For p2p, i think the best is Shareaza, it's spyware free and supports bittorrent n all. Has loads of features and can use three networks at once and bittorrent!

You may have to keep trying sometimes, but some stuff flys in. Downloaded a porn vid the other day and it averaged about 70kbs all the way!

For music, solseek is the best imao. Also has no spyware of shit.

I don't use any P2P software because it has a tendency to install spyware.

You can't get spyware from torrents and if you get eg. limewire pro you won't get any from that either.

I haven't had any problems with spyware in ages, microsoft anti-spyware seems to do the job.

Can anyone help me. Had Broadband for a couple of weeks, just downloaded music off here so far.

I had no idea what torrents were before (apart from what I read on here). I've downloaded Bit Lord, and just getting my first album. It's taking for ever, not a problem but I guess I'm not doing it right!

When someone gets a mo could they put an idiot guide for me and others to go through, would be very grateful.

Is that the Limewire with turbo charged speed?  Instead of the normal speed?
