Was just looking at the run in, I think Shrewsbury and Crawley have the best run ins. Though clearly nothing is straight forward in the last month or two.
I reckon 88-90 points for champs.

Swindon Town F.C. Played: 34 Points: 70 Current Points Per Game: 2.06 Points Per Game needed for: Champions: 1.67 (to get to 90) Second: 1.33 (to get to 86) Third: 1.00 (to get to 82) Play Offs: 0.17 (to get to 72)
Pretty much got a play off spot minimum. Paolo must have been reading this thread - before tonight he said 5 more wins for promotion - which would be 82.
4 more wins now for promotion.

This is how league two looked this time last year. http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-two/2010-2011/table/2011-03-05You can see, we are head of where Chesterfield were this time last year, but interestingly Crawley (6th as it stands) have the same number of points as Bury (2nd last season), which shows that the top 6 are stronger and performing better then last years league two.

That's because we're making them work harder.

This one is a good one to keep an eye on http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D3/runin.htmlNot sure it takes into account teams playing each other, but will confirm mathematically when we reach the playoffs, get promoted (hopefully), etc.

Its not that good a representation - all it does is give the maximum points for any team, but as that can only come at the expense of other teams, not everyone can get all the points. The total possible number of points in a season is 46 x 12 x 3 = 1656, which if distributed evenly gives everyone 69, but as some games are drawn and only two points awarded the total is always less.
Still I always look for 50 points (avoid relegation) in any season... and it does look a nice table at the moment. I can't remember a nicer place to be as a Town fan than this for many years (maybe the League 1 title season?). Wembley to come, 6 points and a massive goal difference advantage. Whats not to like? We've even been good enough to try to help the scum out too, just so we can play them next year...

The predicted "points on current form", "points on season average" is moderately useful though.

I think that the chasing pack should see us focus a lot more than if we were ten points clear at this stage.
Interestingly we have almost double the points we had at this stage last year, so hopefully we finish one place lower than last year and can push on next season.
