With the other topic in mind started by The Flash (incidentally i'll buy one if they're still behind the bar at the CGH at the Hereford game), has anyone purchased any of these retro STFC shirts from Toffs:

I bought one of them a good few years back. Didn't think much of it. Made out of pretty heavy duty cotton (more like a rugby shirt), the colour ran a bit turning the collar and cuffs slightly pink and it's faded a bit. I wouldn't buy one again, especially as we've now got a pretty decent range of current Adidas gear.

I have the 1960's one and really like it, the better half got it for my birthday when I told her not to spend anything in the club shop towards the end of the diamandis regime (being an August born finding presents for me has always been easy!) Shirt still not faded and I love the GWR train on the badge.

I was later bought the 40's shirt and while I like the look it feels quite uncomfortable and rigid.

I bought three about ten years ago. They have varied. The Sampdoria shirt has survived better than anything else and would still be going bar an accident with some bleach. The other two did okay with no leaking or running - and both are red. Just wash them on 40 not 60 and they last but they are heavy cotton and suitable for winter only.

Well good luck to him, and may he succeed in pastures new. Will be in for a few halves of coke in a fortnight.

Thanks for the input lads. One thing that puts me off Toffs is that STFC profit not one jot, but these retro ones are far more preferable to me than the modern shirts, though I do rather like our black away number this season to be fair.

I bought one of the 74-75 season shirts from Toffs and wasn't impressed. It shrank and the colour ran into the white collar turning it a fetching shade of pink.

Bought many tops, and they've all stood the test of time.  Wearing a Czechoslovakia one right now, in fact.  My fav is my 1960s Town one, with number 11 on the back.
