The boffins at Cern appear to have made some subatomic particles go faster than the speed of light....

If true it will be the greatest scientific discovery ever, or at least since Einstein said nothing was faster than light.

In layman's terms it would mean that some crazy shit would theoretically be possible, albeit as theoretically possible as us winning the Champions League within 5 seasons.
