Jobs are shit anyway. I've only ever had one for a few weeks in my life, looking for another one though.

Mex - you have lovely subtle ways of putting things don't you?

Sonic - you'd probably be better off at working for a larger company, e.g.: Sainsburies, Boots etc.  I've worked for Go-Karting For Fun, which strangely was mostly a shit job depending on who I worked for, but the boss was slack as shit so I could get away with a lot.  Now I work at Next and due to the number of workers/spaces to hide I can get away with a lot.

If I was an employer I wouldn't fucking employ me.  I'm shit, basically...  So yeh, just work for a big company and you can get away with murder, as long as you turn up on time and don't rock the boat.

The lad walrus is right. I worked at Focus DIY whilst doing my A-Levels. There was so many places to hide in and around the store. You could waste hours pissing about

Why did you stop (or was that part of the photo stuff)?  Could you not bare to sell your soul to the corporate masses?

Got made redundant today. Anyone need an embedded software engineer with telecomms/voip experience. Good at smashing car windows using a  lawn mower.

Grrrrr. At least the sun is out. The way things are going I'll burn myseld badly though!

The IT industry is shit at the moment. I hope everything goes well for you.

They've told everyone at my work to expect reduancies, find out in 2 weeks  :?

I was working in the pharmacy, I really enjoyed it, liked the people I worked with, felt the job was worthwhile and didn't mind the customers (most of the time). I left because I was ill and I kept having disciplinary meetings about my attendance, so I chose to leave instead of being sacked.

I spent two and a bit years working at Ladbrokes during my degree. Best temporary job I've ever had. Saturdays were busy and so were the big race meetings but other than that I was being paid to watch and know about sport. Working the evenings during the summer was a joke - feet up, beer in hand, placepots in front of me, watching the racing and whatever bollocks was on tv.
And I was a manager - it was twice as easy as a cashier, don't even have to know how to settle a bet...
... and then there's the petty cash theft (if that's your thing! Wink )
