I'm sure there was a music thread somewhere like the book and film ones. Fucked if I can find it, if someone more intelligent than me can please get a mod to merge this with it....

Downloaded (legally) a Malente best of compilation the other day. Going by the title (The Spirit Of Malente 10 Year Anniversary) I assume they've been around a while and don't know how I managed to miss them for so long. It's sort of sampled breakbeat pop, sort of. Well worth checking out even if you're not in to that kind of thing.

Fuck all on Youtube, this was the best I could find;

Thought I would rekindle this thread as it was so popular!! Smiley

Dry The River is on repeat at the moment and have to say I think their album 'Shallow Bed' is pretty damn good. (If you like the kind of Mumford and Sons type thing)

they are playing live in Lux in May so might take a wander along to see them.

On another topic, does anyone know the best website to check live music in London? Or recommend places to go on a Friday night. Me and the missus have recently been going to a place in Clapham called Arch635 which is not bad, and I believe the Barfly in Camden is decent as well?

The Half Moon in Putney often has some decent live bands on and has had some greats playing there in the past. Check out their website to see what's coming up: www.halfmoon.co.uk  Smiley

Those of you into your metal might like to check out a band called Black Sanctuary who are playing at The Old Ale House in Salisbury tomorrow night - very talented lads.
