Not at a...yacht race?

I've got no ill will against sturrock. He did a job for us, left under excusable (imo) circumstances and seems quite dignified in the way he does things.

Many managers have sent weakened sides to us in friendlys in the past, and many will in the future. It's nothing to get angry about. And if people seriously hold Malpas against him they need to check themselves.

I will not welcome him back or give him a good reception.  That said, I will neither give him a hard time.

It's all about Swindon, not the fat scotsman.

Couldn't really care about Sturrock much. He just carried on from where Wise left off. The football was boring but at least he got us out of L2 so I do thank him for that. He couldn't wait to bugger off though. He could have at least heard what Fitton and Co had to say. I guess when you haven't been paid for ages you will want to go though so fair enough I guess. I don't hate him but I don't particularly feel there is a need to give him a special welcome either.

Ace, I love the fact people are getting all shitty because he sent a weakened team down for a meaningless friendly.... I'd love to see what would happen if McMahon ever came back to the club as an opposition manager.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that... it was indeed great fun.

EDIT - This was with Blackpool right? He hasn't managed anyone else has he? (In this country I mean)

The guy did a good job for us, wasnt pretty but was effective

To be honest he's exactly the type of manager I'd hoped we'd get before PDC was appointed. I don't care how we get out the league, as long as we do!

There was a period of 5-6 years where we drew pretty much every game we played against Blackpool. Very odd.

Edit: In fact, 11 of the last 13 meetings between the clubs ended in a draw!

To be fair to say he 'managed' Blackpool would be polite

Can't understand how anyone would want to give a warm welcome to the fat, Jock, Stovie-munching, Diamandis/Wills/Holt gobbler that is Sturrock.

He can fuck off with his Orange paint and his dodgy fucking peroxide toupe.

The fat wanker inherited a decent setup when Wise fucked off and then rode the wave to promotion.

He's done fuck all since he left us apart from setting up the Janners for an almighty fall, whilst shamelessly making sure that his useless cunt of a son continues to make a living in the game.

I'll boo the fat Scotish bastard all day long.
