I wish Paolo would simmer down and focus on the job in hand. I don't care that he's 'laughed in the face of 70,000 Man U fans'. Not relevant here. Evans was angling for a reaction with his comments and now he's got one. A dignified 'no comment' would have been a lot classier.

Thats not the Paolo way though is it? we kinda knew what we were getting before we actually got him, hot headed, outspoken, doesn't mince his words, etc etc. But, he does very often open his mouth without engaging his brain, we better get used to it because he will always do it when hes manager!

Just the " I've never heard of him " was good enough for me "He's a complete fucking dickhead crook Jock spiv fuckwit who disgraces the clubs who have been unfortunate to employ the lesbian and who is completely despised within the game" would hav e been good enough for me.

To be fair though, cant wait to see the touchline antics tommorow night.
He does ramp up the stakes, which adds to the excitement! Bring it on.

Ditto. Di Canio has really took the piss today. If you listen to the interview on the BBC Sport site, Di Canio asks the interviewer twice "Sorry, whats his name?" Kind of "I'm Paolo Di Canio, who the fuck are you fat boy".

They were talking about our game tomorrow on Radio 5 during the half time break of the QPR vs Newcastle game. After explaining a bit about Evans and his temperament and then playing PDC's response to Evans' comments, the commentator guaranteed that it would 'definitely not not kick off' tomorrow.
Basically, there's going to be a big scrap on the touchline and there's nothing anyone can do about it. I would imagine that Fatboy would pack a bigger punch, but PDC is clearly going to be more agile and have greater manoeuvrability. A lot could come down to the support offered by Piccareta and [insert name of Crawley assistant person here]. We shall see.

We can get Leon Clarke down to be the referee of the fight, or a least to be the ring girl who holds up the cards before each round

That'll be too much exercise for Clarke...

You don't think Di Canio will revert to a stereotype, and run away ?

If you listen to the interview on the BBC Sport site, Di Canio asks the interviewer twice "Sorry, whats his name?" Think it was three times which was overkill in my book, twice would have been perfect. Without doubt one of the best put downs I've heard in a long time, works well in an Italian accent as well. Very tempted to go tonight just to see what happens on the touchline as I really doubt Evans is going to let him get away with it.
