Cirencester is less than 20 minutes from most of Swindon. I live between the two and get to either in under ten minutes. You could probably walk there.

It's about 15 miles, so hour an a half walk no worries.  But it's literally straight down the a419 which is a nice quick road, couldn't be easier to get to from Swindon, though there was a speed camera at the bottom of Blunsdon hill the other day so watch out for that. |
