Seeing as you asked...
Left for better/less chaotic things (10): Ardiles, Hoddle, Todd, Evans, Wise, Sturrock, Di Canio, MacDonald, Ling, Wellens
Sacked by us (14): Gorman (72 games), McMahon (204), Quinn (85), King twice (39 & 193 games), Onuora (40), Malpas (42), Wilson (120), Hart (11, only ever temporary from memory), Cooper (125), Williams (75), Flitcroft (42), Brown (32), Sheridan (33)
The rest were various flavours of caretaker/temp.
It's only really the last five years or so we've got a bit sack happy.
Who’d win a fist fight between Phil Brown and Sheridan?

Point of order, Flitcroft fucked off into the charms of Mansfield for which we got some folding stuff I believe. You are of course correct, and I have updated. Who’d win a fist fight between Phil Brown and Sheridan?
I think the answer is probably the viewer?

Seems Salford sack when the Managers havent done that badly.
I think their board are struggling to accept that the club have found their level at League 2. They seem to be expecting to continue to sweep all before them, but in L2 they're a small club; in terms of fans the smallest.

FGR fan rewriting Swindon Town football history. https://forum.fgr.co.uk/post/new-manager-suggestions-thread-12350166?&trail=120TreeinWillsbridge 16 minutes ago Fartvs Antiqvvs wrote: And what of Paolo di Canio these days?
Did a job for Swindon, but a bit hairy on the trigger.
He hasn't managed for a number of years, wasn't he sacked after Swindon were relegated for financial irregularities? there were reports of some very strange dressing room antics I believe?
I don't think he's in the frame!

Couple of managerial announcements today. Barrow have appointed Halifax Manager Pete Wild and FGR have appointed Notts County manager Ian Birchnall.
Both Halifax and Notts County recently lost in their play-off games against Chesterfield and Grimsby respectively.

True but still odd to leave a managerial position in the championship, where you have been very successful, to be number 2 at a PL club

Just shows how the disparity in money is just getting ridiculous that it’s seen as a better career move to be a premier league clubs back room staff than an actual manager of a non premier league club

Critchley going to Villa is the first time I can remember a Championship (or Tier 2 in another name) manager going to be an assistant at a PL (or other) club. I’m sure there are other examples, but it’s not a good look, especially when he’s done incredibly well at Blackpool.
