Looking like a close race between Keith Curle at Oldham and Richie Wellens to be the first casualty of the season.
Oldham have already interviewed ex Wigan manager Gary Caldwell to replace Curle who's oldham side sit 2nd bottom with 1 win and 5 defeats from the first 6 games, their 1 win was against bottom side Sutton.
And Wellens has restless natives in Donny after a 6-0 hope capitulation to near neighbours Rotherham last night and whos side sit rock bottom of L1 after 5 games with just 1 point so far and they have only scored a single goal.

That's baaad. Equates to just over 7 goals a season. Obviously it's just 5 games in, but you'd think he's under pressure already.

TBF their fans have been pretty relaxed about it all until he came out after yesterdays games with several excuses, also Rotherham being their closest rivals really put the cat among the pigeons. Also to add insult to injury one goal was scored by Will Grigg who Wellens was desperate to sign on deadline day but he chose Rotherham over Doncaster.

Some Doncaster fans seem to think Wellens is there for the duration regardless.

They do but there are more that think his time has come to an end with quite frankly appalling run of 7 defeats and 2 draws in the first 9 games, scoring just 2 goals and conceding 17. At least Curle and Hughton managed to win a game this season, even though they pretty much lost every other one they played!
