I’ll be amazed if Sam Ricketts gets much longer at Shrewsbury. They haven’t won at home all season and haven’t played any of the more fancied sides. Let’s face it, at 3-1 they totally went into their shell and just let us have the ball, which is where we are at our best. Our course credit us for our comeback but his feeble, negative tactic had a big impact on them not winning.
Don't tell Bamboo he raves about Ricketts😁

I agree, I though their tactics were awful, like a poor mans Flitcroft side. Glad I dont have to watch that crap week in week out.

In Dave Edwards and Marc Pugh they have 2 very good midfielders at this level. They are completely wasted by Ricketts.

Tbh, I think it's the fact he knows he only had two games (likely only one now) to turn it around. The "relationship" has been sour for a while. Pretty much always the case. Think how Wellens started complaining about everything and anything, he clearly wanted out for quite a while really. I think it all began in pre-season when a period of all our friendlies were in the North West and Wellens spent a lot of time at home (he even said as much and didn't bother taking any of the other games played back at SN1). I think it was then he had already decided. I don't think Ricketts is as bad as you're stating there. He's been in the management game a similar time as Wellens and has managed longer at a higher level. Hard to compare the two, when Wellens appears to enjoy being a L2 manager. At L1 is when he seems to start making excuses, and it's anyone but him. Fairly play, Wellens could job around as a L2 manager and keep winning titles at that level but it would be limited success. Appears to like it easy and when the going gets tough, he opts for the easier option, rather than guiding his team through a difficult patch.

See Bristol Rovers look like going with the cheap option. Tommy Widdrington, currently caretaker manager and head of recruitment is 1/3 favourite.

They think they can get Paul Cook😁 It wouldn't surprise if Michael Flyn is interested if the Gas board can feed him enough bullshit to convince him to leave Newport

Newport to Rovers is a backwards move, he won't go there. Rovers will do a Swindon and go for the cheaper option with no compensation.

Tisdale 1/3 fav
Paul Cook, Mike Flynn, Paul Tisdale and Gary Monk all leading the poll on their forum. Tisdale would be the only genuinely realistic option there, Although Sol Campbell would make me smile if he got the job.
