haha! Don't say that! We have previous with ropey chairmen getting into trouble with bets at bookies!!
It was with a huge tongue firmly in cheek but with Powers history and aquaintance network (allegedly).

Would the odds move with a lot of smaller bets from Town fans that are 'hedging' (probably not the correct term but you get what I am driving at)
Its really hard to say without knowing the size of the market. Obviously the Victor Chandler/Sheena Easton thing happened with a £10, though its free £10 for the bookies! Skys then 8-1 odds didn't change when I put £10 on it. Not for a while! Its not bad news until its bad news.

Here’s my fictional take on the situation.
Wellens gets on well with Power.
Power tells Wellens he’s selling up next month.
Wellens doesn’t like the sound of that - maybe knowing who is taking over and decides to leg it, with a Power trousering a fat wedge of compo before selling up.
Add to that Covid, family oop north, kid on United’s books, no travelling and joining a club that will be funded even if Covid decimates a lot of other clubs.

More cash (personal, team) + the above v risk of the pressures of getting it right with what they have. Doubt the Power ownership situation is an issue yet. But its all speculation. Not even seen a "'w31 lns' reg car spotted in Salford City FC car park" on Twitter.
