I'm a big fan of Joey Barton. Personally think he's an underrated player (probably because of his aggression). I look forward to watching how he gets on.

Based on? Widely regarded as a really decent bloke off the pitch. Doing things the right way, putting in the groundwork with youth coaching, tons of charity work (although recently his foundation closed unexpectedly)... |

He makes some very good points. The constant fallacy of "good player = instant good coach" in this country is ridiculous (even if you think Barton was good player, which Bellamy clearly doesn't). Not sure I'd want Barton working with kids as a route in, though, given his previous of a vicious physical attack on youth player at Citeh. Serious safeguarding issues there |

Its glorious to watch all the Arsenal fans who have been bleating about Wenger on social media for years now getting their knickers in a right twist about who may replace him.
Personally think Pardew is entirely suited to the job - with a massive ego and an inflated opinion of his own importance would be entirely compatible with most Arsenal supporters.....
